Hi,
i´m working at the moment on my ION which i like to build to a magfeeded marker.
The style of making is like my M98M4 Mod. but i use the sheetmetal with holes now and Fiberglas still. Most pieces are allready made but i have to install piece by piece to fit an other one it will take some more time !!!

On the pic i show it, how it will gonna look like when all is done !!!

Yes it´s strong but i dont like working with fiberglas !!!

Here some pics of how the release looks after changing some things !!!
Now it´s just for use on right side cause i installed a spring to push the button right back in position.
Yeaahhh looks ... but it´s strong which is most important i think !!!

On the last pic is an idea of how i set the internals !!! (I will think about it but it´s not the final plan)

magfed ion - thats great!
mb you can try to use already done magwell from RAP4 Dmags (mkp kit)
and modify it a bit, to fit your construction, and sure dmags are cheap :D

Looking good so far. Good idea on using the perforated aluminum. That's got to be some easy stuff to bend and shape. Can't wait to see the project when you start fiberglassing the frame.

Keep up the good work.
